Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Run

Oct. 19, 2005 – The St. Thomas Association of Roadrunners invites the public to the eighth annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, Oct. 30. The two-mile course starts at 4:30 p.m. in the Port of Sale Mall. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finisher and to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female winners in seven age categories. In addition, commemorative victory medals will be given to the first 200 registered finishers. There will be music, refreshments.
You can register during business hours at GNC Endurance Sports in Port of Sale Mall, The Caribbean Surf Company in Havensight Mall or The Caribbean Surf Company on the waterfront. Fees for early registration are $4 for youth 18 and under, $7 for adults and $5 for STAR members. Race day registration is $10 for all age groups. Proceeds will benefit the St. Thomas/ St. John Unit of the American Cancer Society.
