Oct. 21, 2005 – On Thursday, Nov. 3, starting at 5 p.m., ten Christiansted Art Galleries and Jewelry Studios will begin the fifth year of the Art Thursday. Art Thursday is scheduled to happen the first Thursday of every month from 5 to 9 p.m., running from November until May 2006.
Art Thursday participants will have two new galleries to visit: Maufé Gallery and Thomas Hartwell Photography Gallery. Maufé Gallery will feature work by artist Therese Trudeau, as well as other local and international artists. Thomas Hartwell Photography Gallery will showcase photographs by Thomas Hartwell and other St. Croix-based photographers.
"Art Thursday affords people the opportunity to walk around town and make it a night for Art and Culture," says Maria Henle, owner of Maria Henle Studio.
Art Thursday participants are: Danica Art Gallery, The Goldworker, ib designs, Jewelweed, Maria Henle Studio, Maufé Gallery, Thomas Hartwell Photography Gallery and Yellow House Gallery.
