Nov. 7, 2005 – The seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the University of the Virgin Islands-Small Business Development Center Training Facility on St. Thomas. The presenter is Daryl Edwards, business counselor at UVI-SBDC. Pre-registration is required and admission is $20. UVI students, faculty, staff and veterans are admitted free with valid identification.
The emphasis will be on personal budgeting. By preparing a budget you can better focus on your goals, can help to prevent potential financial disaster and point you in a money saving direction so you have more funds available for those things that you need or want.
Most People Spend 10 percent more than they make! You probably know how much money you made last month, but do you know how much money you spent? Or do you know how much money you have left to spend this month? If you don't, you're not alone; most people have no idea. No wonder the average credit card debt is now at $8,500!
Attend this seminar to learn about some strategies to help you develop and manage an effective budget.
Remember: Your future is in your hands.
