Rotary and Rescue Health Fair and Open House

Nov. 13, 2005 – St. Croix Rescue and Rotary Club of St. Croix are joining to hold a Health Fair and Open House Saturday, Nov. 19. The event will be held at the St. Croix Rescue Training Academy at Five Corners from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
There will be a wide range of health screenings, tests, consultations, and information that is free to all. All testing is confidential. Participants in the Health Fair include; VI CARE, Department of Health, Department of Highway Safety, Sickle Cell Anemia Association, Frederiksted Health Clinic, and many more. Testing, screenings and consultations include; glucose, cholesterol, foot care, hearing, vision, substance abuse, blood pressure, HIV and AIDS, sickle cell anemia and much more.
Members of St. Croix Rescue will be giving tours of their training academy and conducting a number of demonstrations. K9 Search and Rescue team demonstrations will be at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be a vehicle extrication demonstration at 10 a.m. when the Rescue ESPECTT Unit will show how they rescue accident victims from wrecked cars, and at noon there will be a medical/cpr demonstration.
