Training Our Future Baseball Stars

Nov. 15, 2005 – The Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation in conjunction with the Los Angeles Angels will be hosting an extensive training clinic and development program for players ages 9-13. The clinic will be conducted by national cross checker Ronald Marigny, infield and outfield instructor Kevin Ham, and regional scout Arnold Brathwaite. According to a press release from the department, the emphasis of training will be in areas of pitching, catching, infield, outfield, hitting and conditioning. All participants' parents should be involved, and managers and coaches are invited and urged to attend.
The training will be on Saturday, Nov. 19, 9 a.m., at the Emile Griffith Park. To participate, players are required to bring gloves, spikes, hats, cups and supporters.
