Managing people is half of managing a business – if not more.
With this in mind, the Human Resources Association of St. Croix will hold a luncheon seminar, "The Business of Managing People, Developing Employees for Organizational Success" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 29.
The seminar, for business and organizational leaders, will be at Gertrude's Restaurant on Hess Road on St. Croix.
Pamela Fagen of HOVENSA and Oran Bowry of Banco Popular will both speak about training and development initiatives at their companies.
Fagen is Director of Human Resources and Legal, at HOVENSA LLC. Prior to starting her career at HOVENSA, she founded Employment Practices Solutions, a human resources consulting company.
Bowry is Assistant Vice President and Human Resources Manager of Banco Popular for the Virgin Islands region. She has oversight responsibility for all recruitment, training and development and more.
The Human Resources Association of St. Croix is an Affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The Society works to advance the human resource profession.
