Dec. 12, 2005 – We From Upstreet Inc. (WEFUS) will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting of Roosevelt Park on Monday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. There will be several evenings of fun filled activities, to include Christmas carolers, youth choirs and steel orchestra, and cultural dancing. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate with the community to spread joy, peace and love.
The programs are scheduled for the following dates:
Monday, Dec. 19……….Official Lighting at 7 p.m. with Voices of Love, Party Hardies Carolers, and Christmas Sing-along with Cliff & Friends of We From Upstreet.
Tuesday, Dec. 20………Youth Night at 7 p.m. with Dober Elementary School Choir, St. Andrews Episcopal Church Youth Choir, and Frederick Lutheran Church Youth Steel Orchestra.
Wednesday, Dec. 21………Cultural Dance Night with Milo's Kings at 7 p.m. with Lockhart Elementary Youth and Adult Cultural Dancers, Mungo Niles Cultural Dancers, and the St. Thomas Heritage Dancers.
