Dec. 28, 2005 – The St. John Historical Society will hold a Three Kings Day Celebration on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 8, beginning at 3 p.m., on the grounds of the Elaine I. Sprauve Library and Museum. Members, their guests and anyone wanting to join the society are invited to attend. According to a press release from the society, this will be a traditional St. John Christmas celebration with old time food, drink and song. Elroy Sprauve will take us on an oral- history journey up Hungry Hill to revisit the old days at Bethany School. Sprauve will also discuss the lasting effect Clarice A. Thomas had upon the culture of St. John through her standards of excellence. She was a principal and teacher at Bethany for twenty years and the first principal of Julius E. Sprauve School.
Please join us on the lawn at the library, and bring your lawn chairs. Please contact Margie Labrenz at 693-8808, if you have any questions.
