Jan. 3, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN107.3 FM this Sunday, Jan. 8, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This Sunday you will be entertained by Melissa Ethridge, Sylvia Herold and Euphoria, Mamou Playboys, Dick Solberg and many more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is Melissa Etheridge Greatest Hits. This new release includes most of her best-known songs, as well as a new Christmas song.
The Indie Spotlight CD is Lovely Nancy from Sylvia Herold and Euphoria. This is a traditional sounding CD with a nice mix of folk and Celtic sounds.
We include new music from Eric Johnson, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Beausoliel, Ana Popovic and more.
We also celebrate the birthdays of Elvis Presley, Little Anthony, Robby Krieger of the Doors, Terry Sylvester of the Hollies, and Shirley Bassey.
We include music from Kim and Reggie Harris and Rabbi Jonathan Kligler, who will be appearing on Jan. 15 at Pistarckle Theater for a concert featuring selections from their CD, Let My People Go. There will also be music from Dick Solberg, who is visiting the territory for a number of gigs beginning in mid-January. We play a track from an album he recorded in St. Thomas at Barnacle Bill's. Other music will be played, including music from Tab Benoit, Renee Austin, Rhonda Vincent, Jimmy Thackery, Taj Mahal, Marty Stuart and lots more.
We also include music from James Cotton who will appear at this year's St. John Blues Festival.
