Air Force Airman 1st Class Laurel M. Maples/St. Croix
Jan. 4, 2006 (Army and Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman 1st Class Laurel M. Maples has arrived for duty at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Fla. Maples, a meteorological and navigation systems apprentice with more than a year of military service, is assigned to the 6th Communications Squadron.
She is the daughter of Michael Maples of Christensted, Virgin Islands and Barbara Thomas of Lake Ave., Pueblo, Colo. Maples is a 2001 graduate of Pueblo County High School.
Marine Corps 1st Lt. Justin K. Peters/St. Thomas
Jan. 10, 2006 – USMC 1st Lt. Justin K. Peters, age 25, is the supply officer of the Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 serving our country at Al-Asad airbase in Iraq since August of 2005. Peters graduated from Antilles School in 1998 and from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering in 2002.
He is the husband of Jennifer Peters of Laurel, Md.; son of Georgeann and James McNicholas and the brother of Kyle Peters of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
