Jan. 19, 2006–The trio Groove Thang is returning to the Virgin Islands for the fifth year in a row. The group will play on all three islands between Feb. 17 and Feb. 28.
Two members of the group, Dave Gerard (vocals, guitars) and David Bailey (bass, vocals), have been playing together for more than 20 years. The third member of Groove Thang, Kent Raine (percussion), joins them on tour. All three have toured extensively and have had the honor of playing with the band Phish.
Groove Thang has won numerous awards from New England's Jam Music Magazine, and they have contributed to ten major recording projects.

Feb. 25 – Full Moon Beach Bar – Mardis Croix Parade – St. Croix (noon – 4 p.m.)
Feb. 26 – Lost Dog – St. Croix (8 p.m. – midnight)
Feb. 28 – Jack's Wings @ Tillett Gardens – St. Thomas (8 p.m.)
