Governor's Web Site is Not Accessible

0

Dear Source:
PFA authorized a $50,000 contract to create and promote the Web site (http://www.governorturnbull.net). Well, not one search engine is going to be able to find the site as the developers of the site, Soury Communications, placed a Meta tag on each page to prevent the search engine spiders from indexing or crawling the Web site.
The tag they placed on each page is < META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW" >. What that tag tells the spiders is do not index this page and do not follow any link of this page.
In order for a brand new Web site to be indexed it should absolutely not have the above tags, the site should be manually submitted to Google and listed with the actual hyperlink on a site that has a page rank of at least 4/10. Soury Communications Web site (http://www.soury.com) has a page rank of 0/10. In addition, the page title tags should be appropriate to each individual page. Google has a backlog of 9-12 months to index brand new Web sites.
Personally, I would have preferred to have the site created for http://www.gov.vi. A Web site that I've only been able to get to once in four years. Also, the domain name has been registered for only one year. However, I must admit that it is an attractive Web site, but no one is going to be able to find it.
