Kidscope Has a 'Do Nothing Ball'

0

Jan. 31, 2006 – Kidscope Inc. is pleased to invite the community not to attend our 3rd annual "Do Nothing Ball Fundraiser" to help raise money to keep our doors open for the children and families of the Virgin Islands. A Do Nothing Ball is a gala event in the comfort of your own home, on the evening of your choice, sometime between right now and when we invite you again next year. No new clothes to buy, no tux to rent, no hair to curl, no shoes to polish and absolutely no raffle tickets to buy. Simply RSVP and do nothing (except make a much needed donation!)
Kidscope was created in 1997 to serve child victims of abuse, neglect and sexual molestation. Since that time we have expanded to include anger management, grief counseling, trainings and workshops, and conflict resolution. We do not charge for any of our services.

Currently, Kidscope, Inc. is in a financial crisis. Without the immediate help of our community, our doors will have to close in the very near future. Kidscope is a safe place for children who say they have been hurt to tell what happened to them. At Kidscope, our commitment is to helping children who have been victims through a healing process for them and their families. We strive to obtain justice, and to help them through counseling, intervention and other services. Saving our children is the most important work we can do. Please help in any way you can.

Kidscope is located at 1826 Kongens Gade, suite No. 7, St. Thomas, V.I., 00802. For more information we can be reached at 714-1012, faxed at 714-1888, or e-mailed at [email protected].
