Caribbean Chorale Inc. Presents 2006 Choir Festival

Feb. 8, 2006 – The Caribbean Chorale Inc. is presenting the 2006 Choir Festival: "Celebrating the Virgin Islands' Cultural and Religious Legacy of Choral Music" on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. The festival will be held at the Bertha C. Boschulte Middle School auditorium and will feature Frank Albinder as guest conductor.
As "Ambassadors of Choral Music of the Virgin Islands," the chorale hopes to provide a platform for citizens to rediscover the reasons that group singing has been such an integral part of Virgin Islands cultural life. The 2006 Festival Choir Concert will include special selections from:

Caribbean Chorale, directed by Kirsten E. Kienberger.
Caribbean Chorale Children's Choir, directed by Malvern J. Gumbs.
The New Herrnhut Moravian Senior Choir, directed by Yvonne Francis.
Saint John Singers, directed by John Cahill.

The 2006 Festival Mass Choir, consisting of guest choirs and serious choristers from the community, will perform a variety of sacred and secular music of Danish, German, Hebrew, and Virgin Islands origin. Frank Albinder's, Caribbean Chorale's first guest conductor, has a career that includes many successful endeavors with SATB choirs.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/children. Tickets are available from "Chico's"(Wheatley Plaza), Draughting Shaft (Havensight), chorale members and at the door.
