Sunday brunch, Feb. 26, at Lilienfeld House will feature Cohen's presentation on "Joseph's Siblings Are Our Siblings," explaining Joseph's relations with his brothers as a paradigm for understanding our relationships with our siblings. Brunch will cost $15 each. Call for reservations, 774-4312.
"Dr. Cohen is a warm, entertaining and moving speaker who is sure to educate and enlighten each of us individually," said Rabbi Arthur Starr of the Hebrew Congregation. "We hope our friends in the community will join us for any or all of our weekend events."
In addition to his professorship at HUC-JIR, Norman Cohen is the provost of the Hebrew Union College-Institute. He was dean of the New York School from 1988-96, and received his Ph.D. from the college in the field of Midrash.
