Career and Technical Education Forum Planned

Feb. 22, 2006 – The St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center and Pinnacle Services will host a forum entitled "Reforming The Impact Of Career And Technical Education On Students, Business, Industry And Community."
This event will take place on Wednesday, March 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on the education center campus. A panel will be comprise Omer Er Selchuk, Chamber of Commerce; Cecelia Knowles, Noreen Michael and Roy Pemberton of the Department of Education; Sen. Shawn Michael Malone, Legislature of the V.I.; Kenneth Mapp, V.I. Public Finance Authority; Alex Moorhead, Hovensa; and Stefanie Samuel, St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center.
Janet Lake and Daniel McIntosh will moderate the panel discussion. The panelists will discuss the center's challenges as well as solutions for providing a knowledgeable and skilled workforce that will lead to a strong and competitive economic base. The discussion will be followed by a question and answer segment and closing remarks.
