Danny Mixon Trio Performs at Island Center
Island Center presents Harlem's Danny Mixon Trio in concert on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. Mixon is an accomplished jazz musician who performs all over the world. The trio consists of Mixon on piano/organ, Michael Carvin on drums and Lisle Atkinson on bass. Known by most for his accompaniment of Betty Carter, Mixon has worked extensively with Charles Mingus.
The Danny Mixon Trio is part of Island Center's February Jazz Month Series. Ticket- holders for the concert are eligible for a $5-off special for tickets purchased for the March 3rd presentation of Arturo Sandoval.
