Historical Society Explores Cinnamon Bay Sugar Factory
The St. John Historical Society will explore the historic Cinnamon Bay Sugar Factory on Saturday, March 25, beginning at 10 a.m. Master mason Reggie Callwood and Society President David Knight will guide us through these ruins. You will learn the history of the Cinnamon Bay factory and hear about the restoration techniques used by Callwood to stabilize and preserve this and other historic sites throughout the National Park on St. John. Participants will meet at the Cinnamon Bay factory site on the North Shore Road. There will be a $5 charge for non-members. Drinking water, a hat, and insect repellant are advised. All are welcome, and bring a friend!
