Feb. 28, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM, Sunday, March 5, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This Sunday you will be entertained by the Irish band Corrs, Kathy Hussey, Big Joe Turner, Patsy Cline, Last Train Home and much more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "All the Way Home" by the talented Corrs, an Irish band consisting of three sisters and their brother. The new CD captures the Corrs going back to their roots performing an assortment of traditional Irish tunes.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Moments of Wonder" from singer-songwriter Kathy Hussey, who presents an album full of well-written, intelligent songs.
We include music from the Big Happy, who will be appearing in the Virgin Islands beginning March 8, and James Cotton, who headlines this year's Coors Light St. John Blues Festival.
We also include music from Last Train Home, who finish up their local tour this week and perform their final local show on March 6.
We remember country-great Patsy Cline on the anniversary of her death.
There will be new music from bluesman Dr. John, Brandi Carlisle, Dion, Janis Ian and others.
We also include music from Big Joe Turner, Otis Taylor, Steve Earle, Richard Shindell and more.
