March 23, 2006 – The State Office of Special Education, in collaboration with Virgin Islands Family Information Network on Disabilities, will host a parent empowerment workshop from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, March 30, at the Education Curriculum Center in Estate Tutu, on St. Thomas.
The workshop will focus on Navigating Individualized Education Programs. The session will include a discussion about procedural safeguards for parents, according to a press release from the Office of Special Education.
