What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

0

March 28, 2006 – Beginning this Sunday the Doug Lewis Show moves to 1 p.m. as Daylight Savings Time begins and all NPR programs air an hour earlier. Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM, Sunday, April 2, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This Sunday you will be entertained by Elvis Costello, Brianna Lane, Maxx Cabello, Emmy Lou Harris and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "My Flame Turns Blue" by Elvis Costello and the Metropole Orkfest. The always-eclectic Elvis Costello now takes a stab at a jazz oriented recording with very positive results. This CD is getting very good reviews with this live recording.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Radiator" from singer-songwriter Brianna Lane, another new and talented artist on the roots music scene.
We include music from Celtic duo New Barleycorn, who appear at Molly Molones from March 29 to April 2, and the rockin' and bluesy Maxx Cabello, who tours through the territory beginning on March 28. We also include music from Carey Bell, who gave a riveting performance at the St. John Blues Festival.
We will play new music from The Duhks, Kris Kristofferson, bluegrass group Mountain Heart and more.
We also include music from the Spencer Davis Group, Michael McDonald, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Diana Krall and others.
We celebrate the birthdays of Emmy Lou Harris and Marvin Gaye and remember R&B artist Edwin Starr on the anniversary of his death.

Tune in for a chance to win a sampler of tunes from the latest Kris Kristofferson CD and an excellent two disc greatest hits CD from the Irish band, the Chieftains.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker and Molly Molones.
