Guardsmen Are Saluted in Retirement Ceremony

April 4, 2006 – The Adjutant General for the Virgin Islands will conduct a retirement ceremony at 4 p.m., on Sunday, April 9, at the Lt. Col. Lionel A. Jackson Armory in Estate Bethlehem, St. Croix.
Brig. Gen. Eddy L. Charles will salute the military service of Sgt. First Class Benito Torres, Sgt. 1st Class Carol Tucker-Sanes and Staff Sgt. Elvere Bradshaw.
"It has afforded all kinds of opportunities and has expanded my educational level in the data processing career field," said Torres about the V.I. National Guard.
Last Saturday on St. Thomas, Charles also promoted Master Sgt. Rudolph Sebastien and Sgt. Athniel Thomas at the Sgt. 1st Class Leonard B. Francis Armory in Estate Nazareth.
The general invites family and friends to attend the retirement ceremony.
