Camping Permit Required at Salt River Bay Park

April 8, 2006 – The Department of Planning and Natural Resources and Virgin Islands State Historic Preservation Officer announced that in order to camp at the Columbus Landing Site National Historic Landmark, within the Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve, campers would need a permit. Permits can be obtained at the campers meeting at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 8, at the National Park Service Visitors Center at Salt River, according to a press release from the DPNR.
