April 25, 2006 – In observance of Carnival Week, The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) Customer Service Offices hours are as follows:
St.Thomas
Wednesday, April 26 (Fair Day) Open: 8 a.m. to noon
Thursday, April 27 (J'ouvert) Open: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 Closed for Carnival
Monday, May 1 and Tuesday, May 2 Reopens at 7:30 a.m.*
St. John
Reopens Monday, May 1 at 8 a.m.
St. Croix
Wednesday, April 26 (Fair Day) Open: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, April 27 (J'ouvert) Open: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 Closed for Carnival
Monday, May 1 Reopens at 7:30 a.m.*
*Customer Services Offices on St. Thomas will open at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 1, and Tuesday, May 2, to accommodate customer traffic, and will resume normal hours on Wednesday, May 3, at 8 a.m. St. Croix will open on Monday, May 1, at 7:30 a.m. to accommodate customer traffic but will resume normal hours on Tuesday, May 2, at 8 a.m.
WAPA customers are reminded that payments can be made at all local banks or placed in the drop boxes at the Authority's administrative offices. Customers with pin numbers can also make credit card payments at WAPA's website, www.viwapa.vi.
Stand Pipes
On St. Thomas, potable water standpipes will open on Friday, April 28 from 7a.m. to 3 p.m. The standpipes will be closed on Saturday, April 29.
On St. John, potable water standpipes will be opened on Friday, April 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The standpipes will be closed on Saturday, April 29.
On St. Croix, potable water standpipes will operate normal hours on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, April 29 from 8a.m. to 4p.m.
