Auditions Held for 'Equus' at Pistarckle Theater

May 2, 2006 – Pistarckle Theater is hosting auditions for the first play of its 2006 – 2007 season, "Equus." The auditions are scheduled for 7 p.m., on Thursday, May 18, at Pistarckle Theater in Tillett Gardens, St. Thomas.
The play, written by Peter Schaffer, is about the choice of pursuing dreams or settling for a safe, "normal" and passionless life. It will be directed by Frank Bartolucci.
Roles available include: a middle aged man to play the lead role of the psychiatrist, a young man who can play a 15-year-old boy, the father and mother of the boy, a judge (preferably female), a nurse, the girlfriend of the boy, and four body-builder types.
Rehearsals begin Aug. 27. Show dates will be weekends from Thursday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 4.
