VIWMA Do-It-Yourself Used Oil Collection Sites

June 6, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority reminds residents that the Authority's Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Used Oil Collection Sites are accepting used motor oil from residents on all three islands.
The DIY sites are for the use of residents who change the motor oil in their cars, lawn motors, boats and other motorized equipment. Transmission fluid, Freon, cooking oil and other fluids are not accepted at the DIY sites.
Residents can bring up to five gallons per month per person to the sites, which are located on St. Thomas at:
Public Works Motor Pool, Subbase
7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Bovoni Landfill
7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
