Aug. 2, 2006 – Parents and guardians are informed that the public school-reporting schedule for the district's elementary and junior high school students has been announced. The 2006-2007 school year officially begins on Monday, Aug. 28, according to a press release from the Insular Superintendent of schools for the St. Thomas-St. John district.
All Elementary Schools
Monday, Aug. 28
Students in grades 1 through 6 will report for orientation at the following times:
8:30 -10 a.m. All first (1st) and second (2nd) grade students report to school
10:05-12:05 p.m. All third (3rd) and fourth (4th) grade students report to school
12:10-2:10 p.m. All fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) grade students report to school
***Kindergartners will not report.
Tuesday, Aug. 29
ALL students in grades 1 through 6 will begin reporting regularly for instruction and activities. Kindergarteners with last names beginning with A – M should report from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. only. Kindergarteners with last names beginning with N – Z should report from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. only. Parents must accompany and remain with their children throughout the completion of the orientation. No classes will be held for kindergarteners following orientation.
Wednesday, Aug. 30
Kindergarten students will begin reporting regularly for instruction and activities.
