Oct. 25, 2006 The students of Leonard Dober Elementary School will participate in activities that observe Drug Free Week. The activities begin on Monday, Oct. 23, and continue through Oct. 31, according to a press release from the Department of Education.
Monday, Oct. 23 Students decorate the campus by tying red ribbon links in the school fence.
Wednesday, Oct. 25 Members of the Student Council will participate in the rally at Griffith Park. Members of Family Resource Center will address primary students on abuse and making wise choices. Students in kindergarten and 1st grade will participate from 9-9:45 a.m.; 2nd and 3rd graders will participate from 9:50-10:35 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 27 Wear Red T-shirt Day. Students will wear a red T-shirt with their school pants or skirt. Members of FRC will address the intermediate students on abuse and anger management. Students in 4th grade will participate from 9- 9:45 a.m.; 5th and 6th graders will participate from 9:50-10:35 a.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 31 Drug Free/Career Choices March begins at 9 a.m., from the school, down Back Street, onto Main Street and back to the school.
