Free HIV Testing on UVI Campus

Nov. 7, 2006 – The University of the Virgin Islands and HOPE Inc. (Helping Others in a Positive Environment) will sponsor free HIV testing on UVI's St. Thomas campus Wednesday, Nov. 8. Safer sex materials will be distributed in the campus dining pavilion and its adjacent parking lot from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Confidential HIV counseling and testing will take place in the HOPE Inc. mobile van, with results able to be obtained within 60 minutes.
This is a not-for-profit agency based on St. Thomas and St. John that provides no-cost HIV/AIDS prevention information and social services to individuals infected, affected or afflicted by HIV/AIDS.
Cast members from the fourth season of the BET reality series "College Hill" will distribute materials on site as part of this activity. Television production crews are expected to film the cast members' interaction with the public surrounding this event.
