What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

0

Feb. 7, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 11. This Sunday we will feature music by John Mellencamp, T-Bird, Sheryl Crow, the Grascals, Smokey Robinson and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Freedom's Road" by John Mellencamp. This is Mellencamp's first CD of new material in five years, and it is a strong collection of great roots rock reminiscent of Mellencamp's classic "Scarecrow" CD. You may have heard the song "Our Country" on television, as portions of it have been used to promote Chevy trucks. Now you can hear the entire song.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Come and See" by St. John recording artist, T-Bird, who will be performing at this year's St. John Blues Festival. T-Bird has released a fine CD of roots Americana style music.
We play new music from Ruthie Foster, Ralph Stanley, the Grascals, Smokey Robinson and more.
We include music from Cassandra Wilson, Johnny Cash, Steve Goodman, the Turtles, Guy Clark, Corinne Bailey Rae, Paul McCartney and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of blues artist Phillip Walker, Sheryl Crow, Gene Vincent, and Jimmy Carter of the Blind Boys of Alabama.
Congratulations to Bill Fett, who won two tickets to see the Amadeus Trio at Tillett Gardens last Wednesday.
Tune in for another chance to win two tickets to see the Amadeus Trio at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas, Feb. 14.
We include music from the Grandsons, who will be touring in the Virgin Islands from mid-February to the end of the month. We also play music from Orleans, who will be performing at Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas, Feb. 17.
We give you a chance to win the new CD release from blues artist Michael Powers.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
