What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Feb. 13, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 18. This Sunday we will feature music by Carly Simon, Dave Crossland, Norah Jones, the Grandsons, Irma Thomas and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Into White" by Carly Simon. Carly's latest release features renditions of songs from some of her favorite songwriters, including tunes written by Paul Simon and her ex-husband James Taylor. She also includes a very nice cover of a Harry Belafonte hit. Her son, Ben Taylor, and daughter, Sally Taylor, help out on some of the tracks.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Pearl" by singer-songwriter Dave Crossland, who is a talented new voice on the contemporary folk scene.
We play new music from Norah Jones, Greg Greenway, Anne McCue, Eric Bibb and more.
We also include music from Steve Earle, Ringo Starr, Otis Rush, Eddie Kirkland and others.
We celebrate the birthdays of Robbie Bachman of the Bachman-Turner Overdrive, New Orleans artist and Grammy winner Irma Thomas, Frazey Ford of the Be Good Tanyas and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek. We celebrate Yoko Ono's birthday with a trilogy of songs written about Yoko.
Congratulations to Randy Shaw, who won two tickets to see the Amadeus Trio at Tillett Gardens last Wednesday.
We include music from the Grandsons, who will be touring in the Virgin Islands from mid-February to the end of the month. We also include music from Sara Hickman, who will be performing on March 14, at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas.
We give you a chance to win the new CD release from blues artist Charlie Wood and CDs from singer-songwriters John Brannen and Michael Jonathon.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
