March 8, 2007 – Vibes Poetic invites the public to an evening of entertainment. "Our Women, Our Home, OURstory" begins at 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 17, at the Blue Restaurant (the new home of Vibes Poetic) in Frederiksted. Admission is free.
The Vibes crew will offer poetic expression in homage to Virgin Islands History Month and National Women's History Month. This month they are featuring Sajeta, one of St. Croix's most talented spoken-word artists, and the talented saxophone player, Adhali. Of course, there will be a chance for all guests to get on the mike and take the stage; the open-mike session begins at 8:30 p.m.
It is St. Croix's newest poetry collective, made up of a group of dynamic, young people on the island, who want to make a difference in the community through the arts. Vibes Poetic will be having poetry readings every third Saturday of the month at the restaurant.
Come and bring a friend. Sign up for open mike and share your thoughts. For more information call Malachi at 277-7982 or Oceana at 277-1575.
