7th Forum Film Festival Kicks off June 6

May 17, 2007 – The 7th Annual Forum Film Festival kicks off June 7 with Oscar nominated Water, a film by Deepa Mehta set in India. Called a "masterwork," it is the third of three films by Toronto-based filmmaker Deepa Mehta. The others, Fire and Earth were also highly acclaimed.
The Aura, a moody mystery, part character study, part crime drama that starts in the Patagonian forest is the Festival's second offering on Wednesday, June 13.
God Grew Tired of Us, the third and final film of the Festival showing on June 20, tells the story of three of Sudan's Lost Boys after they reach America..
All Forum Films will be shown at 7 p.m. at Market Square. Tickets will be available starting May 23 at Reichhold Center for the Arts, Modern Music (Nisky), Parrot Fish, Dockside Bookstore, Interiors (Ft Mylner) and Home Again (Red Hook) Tickets are: $15 each. A limited number of season tickets are available only at Reichhold, They are $ 40 for the three films.
The Forum was established in 1995 to underwrite bringing cultural and artistic events to the Virgin Islands.
