June 28, 2007 – Human resource professionals interested in obtaining nationally recognized certification are urged to pre-register for the upcoming Human Resource Certification course being held by the University of the Virgin Islands' Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center. The course is scheduled for 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday and Thursday, starting Aug. 29. It is open to human resource professionals across the territory and will be offered via videoconference on St. Thomas and St. Croix (the specific location will be announced at a later time).
The course provides a solid foundation for meeting human resource challenges found in today's demanding work environment and prepares professionals to achieve their Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) designation. The certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), signifies that the recipients have achieved the industry certification that sets them apart as true professionals in their field.
