July 2, 2007 – Rose Evelyn Carty died at her residence on June 28, at the age of 69.
She is survived by her beloved friend, Lawrence Hodge Sr.; son, Lawrence Hodge Jr.; daughters: Laverne Hodge and Lynn Hodge-Anthony; and stepdaughters: Ruth and Raquel Hodge. She is also survived by brothers: James, Albert, George, Samuel and Joseph Carty; sisters: Doreen and Ronita Carty; daughter-in-law, Sheris Remy; aunt, Vanlier Hodge; 16 grandchildren and a great grandchild; as well as friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 5-7 p.m., on Thursday, July 12, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will be held from 8-10 a.m., on Friday, July 13, at Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
