Roberta Jean Swenson Dies at 65

July 2, 2007 – Roberta Jean Swenson, known as "Bobbie," died on June 29, at age 65.
She was born in New Hampton, Iowa and has lived on and off the islands for many years. She worked as an operating room nurse at the Juan F. Luis Hospital. A local memorial service will be held at the Rainbow on July 14.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Elms; son, Scott Putz; son-in-law, Matthew Elms; daughter-in-law, Christine Putz; and three grandchildren: Alicia, Cameron and Callie Elms. Other survivors include four sisters: Arlene Stull, Rocielle Covnot, Marilyn French and Sandy Logeman; brother, Arthur Swenson; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Another memorial service will be held in Chicago on July 28. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: St. Croix Animal Shelter at St. Croix Animal Welfare Center, Rural Route No. 2, Kingshill, St. Croix 00850.
