July 17, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, July 22. This Sunday we will feature music by Bugs Henderson and the Shuffle Kings, James Taylor, Indigo Girls, Long John Baldry, Neko Case, the Subdudes and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "A Tribute to Joni Mitchell." The CD, which has been released on Nonesuch Records, features contributions from an eclectic group of artists that include Emmylou Harris, James Taylor, Cassandra Wilson, Bjork and others, each doing their own personal take on a favorite Joni Mitchell tune.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Electric Snow," a three-CD set from Texas blues artist Bugs Henderson and the Shuffle Kings. The collection provides a retrospective of favorites by this rocking and inventive band.
We play new music from bluegrass artist Donna Hughes, the Gore Gore Girls, the Kennedys, Marc Broussard, the Smithereeens and more.
We include music from Buddy Guy, Neko Case, Aretha Franklin, Terrance Simien, the Subdudes and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Emily Saliers of the Indigo Girls, Rick Davies of Supertramp, Don Henley of the Eagles, Estelle Bennett of the Ronettes and folk singer Annie Wenz. We also remember blues artists Jesse Mae Hemphill and Long John Baldry on the anniversary of their deaths.

We give away a copy of the latest release from the blues-gospel band the Holmes Brothers as well as a copy of the greatest hits of Cracker.
