Dec. 8, 2007 — Police have identified the victim of Friday's robbery/homicide — which occurred in the St. Joseph and Rosendahl area on St. Thomas — as 60-year-old Robert Fletcher.
On Friday, Police spokeswoman Monkya Johnigan said the incident was called into 911 at 11:53 a.m. Friday by a female who reported a robbery in progress. The perpetrators were described as three black males.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Fletcher, who was unresponsive after being stabbed in the neck. On Friday evening, police said that they had two suspects in custody, and were trying to determine whether the incident could be linked to a burglary that occurred around the same time in the same area.
Community members with any information on the incidents are asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 715-5534.
