Dec. 22, 2007 — McDonald's has given five children at the Nana Baby Children's Home hand-held Nintendo DS video-game systems, including educational and skill-development games.
"We feel this is a time of year for unconditional sharing, and wanted these special children to have the gifts they wanted most this year," said Isabel Hernandez, market manager of McDonald's, who delivered the gifts Friday.
McDonald's also provided new sheets for the girls' room. Many corporations and individuals have contributed to the home this holiday season.
Beulah Wilson, director of Nana Baby Children's Home, expressed appreciation to all who keep the home in their thoughts.
"We are very grateful to the community, because without them we wouldn't be able to continue," she said. "Thank you to community and all of our contributors."
