Pistarckle Theater Presents Queen Breffu

Jan. 23, 2008 – Pistarckle Theater, presents "Queen Breffu," directed by Chadd Cumberbatch, at 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25. The premiere will be a champagne reception hosted by H. Stern, and a raffle will be held during intermission, according to the press release from Pistarckle Theater.
This is the second story in a trilogy by Caribbean writer Eddie Donoghue's about three remarkable women who lead the slavery rebellions of the 1700s and 1800s, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. There will be a preview held on Jan. 24, which is a pay-as-you-can night; the opening night is Jan. 25; and there will be performances on Jan. 26, Feb. 1-3, 8 and 9. All evening performances will be held at 8 p.m. There will also be two matinees at 2 p.m., on Feb. 2 and 10.
It stars Christina Harper and Adam Kloper, and the cast includes Seymour Davis, Ayesha Morris, Larisha Lavinier, Gerard Wiley, Wayne Chinnery, Myles Todman, Emmanuel T. Horsford, Ian Turnbull, Careem Hennes and Tabari Davis. The play is choreographed by Diana Browne.
The performance on Thursday, Jan. 24, is pay-as-you-can. Tickets are $23 for adults, $20 in advance; $10 for students; and group sales of eight or more are $7 for kids and $14 for adults.
