Grant Proposal Development Training Planned

0

March 14, 2008 – Virgin Islands Resource Conservation and Development, in partnership with Hovensa and the UVI Cooperative Extension Service (CES), invites the public to register to attend the 2008 Grant Proposal Development Training. Government agencies, nonprofits, teachers, churches, community groups, youth groups and any other organization seeking funding assistance are invited to send representatives to participate an informative hands-on training. Don Udell, a nationally-recognized resource development specialist, will conduct the training.
The training will focus on the key components required to develop a successful project or program proposal for funding. Attendees should come to the workshop with a project proposal in mind that you will be working on during the training. Each training day will end with an "Individual Proposal Development" session, during which participants will be using the techniques discussed during the day to develop their project proposal and enhance its fundability. Udell will also be available from 6-9 p.m. to provide individual assistance, including tailoring a proposal to a specific funding source. Each participant will graduate with a certificate and a complete proposal ready for submittal to a funding source.
Registration is required. Early registration will end on March 28. The $350 registration fee includes instruction materials, lunches and refreshment breaks. For training, registration or information, contact the V.I. RC&D office at 692-9632, ext. 5, or [email protected], or visit www.usvircd.org.
