March 27, 2008 – The Charlotte Amalie High School French Club will depart on Monday, April 21, for its educational tour to Europe, according to Acting Principal Carmen Howell. The 11-day tour of France and London will end on May 1, and will take the group of 18 students, who are enrolled in the study of the French language, to visit sites such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, the River Seine, Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly Square.
"During the tour, students will also get an opportunity to learn more about French culture and practice the language they have learned in the classroom," said Howell. "The annual tour coordinated by CAHS' Teacher of the Year Madame Idalia Dockery is one of the school's most anticipated events. We bid our students a safe and enlightening journey and look forward to the report of their experiences."
