June 17, 2008 – The 10th Annual Hovensa L.L.C. President's Golf Tournament was held last Saturday, June 14, at the Carambola Golf Club, with 200 employees of Hovensa, its contractors and vendors, competing.
Members of the Hovensa's Leadership Team (HLT), which is comprised of all of the officers of the company, organized a team to compete in the tournament and challenged the other 49 teams for the better low net score. The teams that bettered or tied the score of the HLT team were able to designate a charity of their choice to receive a $100 contribution from Hovensa. Based on the results of the competition, the company will make donations totaling $20,000 to 15 local charities.
The following charities will receive a donation based on the results of the tournament:
