Legislative Channel to Re-Broadcast Committee Meetings

June 21, 2008 – Beginning at 5 p.m., on Friday, June 21, and through out this weekend, Virgin Islands residents will be able to view a number of meetings and hearings on St. Croix Cable Channel 5 and St. Thomas-St. John Cable Channel 17 that were not televised on St. Croix due to the breakage of an Innovative Cable turn, according to a press release from the Legislature of the Virgin Islands.
The Legislature's Public Affairs Division will be re-broadcasting the following meetings:
1) The Finance Committee meetings held on St. Croix, May 7 and 8
2) The Government Operations and Consumer Protection hearings held on St. Thomas, June 9 and 13
3) The Economic Development and Agriculture Committee meeting held on St. Croix, June 10
4) The Public Safety, Homeland Security and Justice Committee hearing held on St. Croix, June 11
5) The Education, Culture and Youth Committee hearing held on St. Croix, June 16
6) The Committee of the Whole hearing held on St. Croix, June 16
7) The Finance Committee meeting held on St. Thomas, June 17
8) The regular session held on St. Thomas, June 18
The Legislative Cable Channel will also re-air the May 22nd African Liberation Day Program featuring Minister Louis Farrakhan.
