Free Health Education on Breast and Cervical Cancer Planned

Sept., 8, 2008 – A health education event open to the public: "Breast and Cervical Cancer – What's New in Diagnosis and Treatment" will be held from 9:30-11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the St. Croix Reformed Church, located on the hill in Estate LaReine between Kingshill Post Office and Antilles Motors.
Breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Bert M. Petersen will be the guest speaker and will share his expertise, discuss the latest in breast and cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as cover the United States Virgin Islands Department of Health's forthcoming "We Care Program" followed by a Q & A session.
This is a free event sponsored by the Interfaith Coalition of St. Croix and St. Croix Reformed Church. All church members, community members, women and medical professionals are invited to attend this health-education event. Refreshments will be provided.
