Share Your Ideas About Economic Development in the Virgin Islands

Sept. 28, 2008 – Members of the Chambers of Commerce are asked to share their ideas and insights about economic development opportunities in the Virgin Islands with the V.I. Economic Development Administration and the consultants it has retained to develop a strategic marketing plan, at public workshops scheduled for each island.
The EDA will host the workshops, which will be moderated by CIPA Inc., and V.I. Chamber members are invited to play an active role in planning the future of economic development in the territory. Opinions and insights are wanted on the following issues:
1) How can EDA improve the current economic development situation in the territory?
2) What is your vision for economic development in the territory?
3) How can the public participate in economic development?
4) What should be the goals and objectives for economic development in the territory?
5) What are the greatest challenges for the economic development of the territory?
On St. Croix, the workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at V.I. Port Authority Conference Room, at Henry Rohlsen Airport.
On St. Thomas, the workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Victor's Hideout conference room.
On St. John, the workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 2, at the St. John Legislature Conference Room (behind the former Hilltop Building) in Cruz Bay.
