Oct. 31, 2008 – The Caribbean Classic Triathlon will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, on the grounds of the beautiful Buccaneer Hotel. The race will again feature a field of top professional athletes, such as the reigning Ironman 70.3 World Champion Mirinda Carfrae.
The race will be open to both individuals and relays, and entry forms are available at Stamina Sports. All local athletes are requested to enter by Nov. 15. Off-island triathletes are also welcome. Mandatory pre-race registration will be held at the Buccaneer between 2-4 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 15. Prizes will be awarded to the overall victors, as well as age-group winners. Each athlete will also receive an official race T-shirt.
The race will start promptly at 7 a.m., with body marking beginning at 6 a.m.
Volunteers who wish to kayak or hand out water on the run course are needed.
