Nov. 13, 2008 – Krishna Das, One Life at a Time
The film will be shown at 7 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 21. It chronicles Krishna Das's spiritual journey through India where he lived for three years. He is drawn to the practice of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. He met and studied with the extraordinary guru, Maharaj-ji, who led him deeper and deeper into the practice of kirtan – chanting the Names of God. Ever since, Krishna Das has been chanting in yoga centers around the world. Make this movie an introduction, or a return, to the music and spirit of Krishna Das.
A meet and greet will be held before the movie at 6:30 p.m., at Pistarckle Theater in Tillet Gardens, There is a suggested donation of $10.
