The Family Resource Center's Family and Youth Crises Intervention Program is holding registration for its "Rites of Passage" component. The program, funded by the Department of Human Services, is free, but space is limited.
The Rites of Passage is currently accepting registration from parents who have sons, ages 9 to 12 years old. It will be offering free field trips, tai-chi, computer literacy, social development/socialization skills, cultural literacy, and ecological art. The program will begin on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, with classes held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., every Saturday until the closing ceremony on Saturday, May 9. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
