Dec. 9, 2008 – Grow VI is a local volunteer movement to support sustainable, organic agriculture on St. Thomas. Volunteers dedicate time to helping local farmers increase their yields. They compost, mulch, plant seedlings, move earth, create terracing, dig, weed and run irrigation lines. Families are welcome to participate. The children are becoming more and more disconnected from nature due to technology, big business agriculture and their parents' own busy lives. It's time to get them re-connected to their food.
